Our exhibition at the International Grammar School in Ultimo which was opened by our NSW Governor, Professor, now Dame Marie Bashir, with Richard Glover from the ABC as MC, was a great success. Â Curated by Di and hung by Yhanni and crew from Tali Gallery it was held over three days and raised funds for and awareness of the school’s Indigenous Scholarship Bursary. Â We were pleased to have artists from Milingimbi Art and Culture Centre joining us for the opening, painting barks with ground ochre, playing yidaki, and weaving with pandanus. Â It was very special indeed, and held for a great purpose. Â Below are photographs taken both before and during the opening, as well as showing a visit by some of the current Indigenous students at the school interacting with the Milingimbi Artists and some of the art!
