Upcoming Exhibition – late May
Karina Coombes will be our featured exhibition artist.  Karina paints in ochres with her community art centre in the Tiwi Islands and her dramatic subjects include the Milky Way,  Solar Eclipse, the Kulama Ceremony Moon and Shooting Stars.
Tali Gallery is often asked to source artwork and information about Aboriginal artists for the Indigenous Law Bulletin of the University of NSW in Sydney and the current edition features Karina who receives royalty payments for the inclusion of her paintings, as well as widespread recognition of her artwork.

Please note that although they are ochres, they may be despatched rolled up in a tube (as they safely arrived from the community to Tali G). Â This is because Tiwi people and artists from ArnhemLand apply the ochre in thinner layers with less texture than is done in the Kimberley.
