Tali Gallery is delighted to present the work of multi award winning Indigenous artist, Anthony Langitjgun Walker who has inherited stories from his grandparents from the Yiman and Gurreng Gurreng Language Groups.
Anthony founded Didgeri-u-doo in Byron Bay, a cultural interactive studio where he coordinated and curated exhibitions and related initiatives for local Indigenous artists.
He provides advice and support to local Aboriginal artists, to further develop their practice and assist them progress to a professional arts career. He offers one on one assistance via an outreach service, coordinates opportunities for group learning, and develops and promotes opportunities such as regional exhibitions, to help create new audiences for local Indigenous artists’ work. Anthony’s position is supported by the Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts.
Anthony is working on a new body of work for his next exhibition in Paris in 2013.
