Tali Gallery has worked with the Greek Festival of Sydney to recognise the First Australians on the occasion of their 30th Anniversary in 2012.  The Festival program and poster features an artwork by Indigenous artist, Sarrita King, specially painted for the occasion and Tali Gallery will be curating a themed Koukouvagia Boobook exhibition with owls sourced from communities all over Australia in a wide range of media.  The owl is strongly linked with Athena and Athens.  Apart from the completion of  a community collaborative mural with artwork by Danielle Sullivan and faciliatation by Nola Diamantopolous of the Mosaic School of Sydney, various associated lectures and events are scheduled to be held in venues throughout Sydney over the three months duration of the festival.
